It is unfortunate to say that the guy who got hurt badly at CHP on Friday May 18 was Joel. Most people know him as Joey. Joel Taguba is at LIJ of Manhassett. His situation is not looking good. Please pray for him and his family.

Oh no, I read it on the climb site, but I didn't know joe was I rode in the chp together. Hope that he will make it through

Another sad news to the MTB community.
Let's pray for his recovery.
Another reminder for all of us how fatal and dangerous MTB is. That no matter how we love this sport, we are putting our life on the line. So ride safe everyone.

Joey is at North Shore/LIJ Hospital on Community Drive in Manhasset.

I never met and know him but I hope and pray that everything will be alright. Sometimes we ride over our head, stay within your skill level.

Sushi and I visited Joey yesterday at the hospital and we spoke with the family. The sister is asking to accompany them to where Joey crashed. I'll let you guys know when...
