Taconic 909 ChallengePleasant Valley, NYDate: September 06, 2009Presented by Eastern Sports Promotions Taconic 909 Challenge is stop #5 in the New York State Catskill Mtb Series. Course: 9 mile loop of some of the best singletrack around, with a few fire roads connecting them. Good Stuff!! Directions: Take Taconic Parkway to Pleasant Valley, NY. Race is off Tyrrel Rd. Exit comes up quick. Exit is at mile marker 52.8Registration 'day of' at race will be $35.00 so pre-reg and save yourself a few bucks. Limited parking, please carpool. This is a USA Cycling sanctioned event. All rules will be followed. Cat 1 & Pros must have annual license Cat 2 & Cat 3 can purchase a 1 day membership at race for $5.00. Registration: www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=8147Tribesmen we can make this as a pre-race training before "The Chainstretcher" at Blue Mountain.

Thanks for the shout Jon but I probably won't be able to make this race cuz since my parents has been with us for vacation, we've been busy every weekend. In addition to that, I don't even think I can make the Blue Mountain race either cuz they're going back home to Texas on the 13th of September. I'll post if otherwise.........

I will most likely do this one. I've never been to these trails but I heard they're great.
Racing is the best training so it's perfect a week before Blue!

it's around 85 miles from NYC. 20 30 minutes north of Blue Mountain.

Yea Erwin we can convoy with the rest of the tribesmen , we got to hit the road at 5:30am the race starts at 10 am, so I think we have enough time before the race starts..you got my cel# so just tex me if you have any plans.

Just to remind all tribesmen planning to participate in this race, tomorrow night (8 PM) is the last day you can register online and save $10. As what Bigboy said "Let's get those medals!!!" This is a good warm up for The Chainstretcher in Blue Mountain the following Sunday!!
