Is there anyone among you interested in participating in the Ramapo Rally on August 15 2010? You can do from 12 to 125 miles of riding. Check it out at www.btcnj.com/ramaporally/index.asp The ride is similar to that of the Long Island Harbors Ride last June 27th.

Sounds like fun. Unfortunately, I will be out-of-town for two weeks in August. Vacation time baby!

Check it out at www.btcnj.com/ramaporally/index.asp The ride is similar to that of the Long Island Harbors Ride last June 27th. I'm 80/20 here. I may have to skip the taconic 909 mountain bike race and join this event and may sign up for the 125 mile route. I just have to wait for my better half when she's going to schedule our mini vacation this August. I will confirm this week if I'm going to sign up. If anyone's interested to ride 100 or 125 miles with me let me know. For more info. www.ramaporally.com/ramaporally/

Hey Jon. I sent Adonis the link. He should reply tonight or tomorrow....hopefully he could go. If he does go, he would probably do the 125 miler. It seems to me that this would be "a walk in the park" for him. Have a great time. Sorry, can't go: "I do it in the woods". Can't get myself onto the pavement yet.........

O.k. I don't think I will be able to finish it but I already registered for the 125 miles. I decided to skip the Taconic 909 H2H race and just do this stress free rolling and moderately hilly road ride on August 15, 2010. Anyone interested to join me? Let's go! If you don't have a road bike, you can always rent one at Peaks Bikes. ;D Lia, what's another 63 miles? This is a good recovery ride after DH40. ;D

I know most of the team will be racing the H2H 909 Taconic mtb race. I will be skipping this one and head to ride a relax 125 mile road bike ride in the Ramapo Rally.
Posting this INFO. for the people from NYC thinking about joining this ride but don't have a car to go to the destination.
SPECIAL TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS FROM NYC TO RAMAPO RALLY
We have received numerous inquiries from New Yorkers who are interested in riding the hills of western NJ but do not have their own transportation to the Rally start site. The Ramsey station on the NJ Transit Bergen Mainline is only 4 miles from the start site. See area description below.
Special arrangements have been made with the Manager of Operations for NJ Transit so that there will be no restrictions on bicycles on event day.We have integrated the NJ Transit Connection into the ramaporally.com website page and Active registration page. There is now a button for the NJ Transit Connection in the left hand column of the ramamporally.com page.
We would really appreciate it if you could get a word out to your friends.
We have been asked by NJ Transit for an approximate count so we are encouraging riders to send a message to pr@btcnj.com if they plan to take the train. The message should just say whether they are taking the earlier or later train. You can put multiple riders in the same Email.
Area Description:
To give you a geographic overview: the start site is in Mahwah which is on the NY State border next to Suffern NY. This is where the NY State Thruway meets Route 17. The century stretches due west to Chester in the NJ Highlands region of Morris County.
