I'm sad to let everyone know that Greg aka GRnamin was struck by a car this morning while he was riding his bike to work. He suffered fractured right elbow and bruise right thigh otherwise he said he is o.k. and he said he missed riding his bike already. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Greg! Heal up quick Greg for next season!

Gee, I am sorry to hear that. Get well soon Greg!
I just hope you keep riding even after the accident. I almost got hit 3x now riding on the road. It happened around 4:30-6:00pm rush hour. Be extra careful around those hours.

get well soon greg. really a sad thing that accident happens even if you're really careful. i know how frustrating just thinking that you can't ride for awhile. Take time to recover. stay well.

Thank you, thank you! Just got back from the orthopedic surgeon. No fracture! Whew. What's showing up in the x-rays is just bone calcification he said. Pretty nice soft tissue damage, hematoma and contusions, but no break. Whew! I can start biking again more quickly than previously thought. Thank you all for your support.

Good to know that you're ok Greg. Just a thought, I tried riding my roady once on a weekday rush hour in the afternoon and I also almost got hit by a car. I'm not saying that you should stop riding your bike to and from work but during these hours especially in the afternoon rush hours were everybody is tired and just want to get home as fast as they can. You should expect a lot of crazy drivers, just be extra carefull man and take care.

Thank you and good advice. I have a blinking red light that's always on at the back of my bike, even in the morning and I try to wear bright clothing as much as possible. I have a 700-lumen light attached to my helmet at night. Won't stop riding. Will just be extra careful and change my route.
