That is a nice one you have. My tube preamp puts out lots of heat inside the cabinet. It is class A rating, meaning they run so hot it warms up the top of cabinet. So I placed a fan behind the cabinet sucking hot air out.
I used two 180mm fans glued together. For power, I am using radio shack power adapter 3-12volts rated at 1amp CAT No. 273-029. This way, I can control the speed. You want it low so it won't make noise.
Salamander Design makes a rear louvered exhaust for my audio rack. DIY is much cheaper and requires less space.

nope..that's not mine Levi - I wished! And that thing cost like $30 online. So, might as well go for a DIY....gonna check the shack for that part no. you provided and look for some PC fans. My Yamaha RX tends to get HOT too...so this will help. Thanks for the info!
