Thank you guys, I was just really disappointed yesterday that I had the mechanical. Went there really prepared and ready to test myself where I would sit in Cat 2. But nuts happens   so next time again. Here's my very short race recap. ;D ;D I started the race about myself in the middle pack, I was watching Brian(3d racing) b/c I know he's a very strong rider. But the guy was smart, he stayed dead last in our pack and instead watched us all. So I was following Danny the whole time who hammered it from the start, but he said he didn't ;D ;D. One time I was looking at my back and Brian was really far behind pacing himself. As usual Kalog flew right away and was out of sight. ;D ;D. Once we got to the technical part(rock gardens), I was following Danny at this time I can see Kalog on my sight and then suddenly when I shifted my gear up I heard a little pop and suddenly my crank was stopped. Right there I was thinking NO WAY! I looked down and there you go chain suck suddenly first came to my mind was where's Jon? LOL! I also had the same incident last year in dh40 but I was lucky enough Jon was there to help me. So I pulled on the side and started fixing my bike, riders were passing me and Brian even said let's go Erwin. I was so pissed I started pulling my chain and turning my wheel so hard but no luck at all. When BigB passed me, he asked me if I'm okay and I said just go man I'm done. I was still fixing my bike but when the women started passing me by , I said thats it and call it a day. So I started walking back carrying my bike b/c the wheel was stuck.  carrying it from my left and right shoulder alternatively for almost 2 miles. Once i got back Danny tried and help me fixed my bike when he also got his own mechanical problem. ;D but to no dice. So I brought my bike to the race mechanic I think(he had a tent there and fix some bike for the racers), I don't know who he is but he was a very nice guy. Who ever you are thank you for helping me Sir! He told me that the only way to fix it was to loosen the cassette and take the chain from there. So there you go guys, my lovely day yesterday. ;D ;D  Bike damage was hanger, chain and cassette was bent. Brian(3d racing) ended up with the 2nd place , so my gut feeling was right. It was just my bike decided to have sex with me yesterday and rode me instead. Lol! |

jon,thanks for your help.
i didn't reg.online bcoz i have to work on that day.luckily i was able to make it and have fun racing.without your and danny help i wouldn't make it.
and to my pal,danny.thanks a bunch you make my day worth while.

Liong you can count on us anytime man! I'm glad Danny was able to help you out. I wish I have a size small team jersey for Liong to wear (maybe Erwin have one  ) It will be an honor for us if you decides to wear our colors. You will be an asset to our group, especially we don't have any Cat 1 racer in our group yet. Most of our Cat 1 friends are in our team brother NYCMTB. @erwin- Sorry to hear about your chain suck. I'm sure if I was racing yesterday I will be able to help you out again since I will be coming behind you. Hopefully next time you wont be needing my help coz no more mechanicals.  @ Lia - you go gurl! As usual your time 1:01:46 beats lots of Cat 3 men's time. |

Hopefully Jon, It worked flawlessly at the 6 hour race last year so I thought that the bike was in good condition. I even rode it at chp for 2 laps the day before the race. Liong I have an extra small size mtbNYCStyle jersey, I'll give it to you in Tymor this coming race. We are happy to have you in our group man, you are very welcome here. Jon are we still ordering more jerseys? I want to order the winter jacket like the one that Danny have and another jersey. Danny you said your jacket was tight on you? Let me know bro if you're selling it. |

i did go to race but i wasn't really ready to do real race, due to not enough time on bike past
weeks having problems with mucus clogging my wind pipe, and moving all that for more than enough for my excuse for dnf for the first race. hopefully i get better soon for next round of
race.
liong very welcome, i was glad to see you in action in cat 1 ss bike race,
hey i'll lose weight to get fit better
