Hey E, now that’s what you called an epic ride! The only way I would do it is if I have a support crew just in case something happens. Hey maybe your wife can follow you in a car or make a plan to rendezvouz somewhere along the way just to make sure you’re ok. It is definitely doable in two days, but doing it alone will be a challenge and lonely. . However, that would be an adventure and accomplishment. Also to consider, Lake George has plenty of mountains where you can test your limits plus the views will be a lot better. Good luck if you decide to do it and have lots of fun!

E, very doable but like what prance said I would probably do it with a support or at least I have one fellow rider with me just in case something happen. Whatever you decides, ride safe and good luck. Have fun with the family in LG.

That is going to be a long ride E. It is definitely doable. I would contact TA (Transportation Alternative) to see if they have better(safer) route. If your wife can wait for you say at half way mark, then it is not so bad.
I am sure it has been done before.

Thanks guys but first the family will not allow me. I just told them about my plans right now and they are like. Are you crazy?! lol ;D ;D And even if they say Okay, I think the weather this week will not cooperate. But yeah maybe the orange machines can plan an epic road ride like this in the future, it will be fun. Maybe 1 or 2 nights sleep over on the road. ;D ;D or an epic mountain ride bike in the mountains and camp there over night or 2. Anyway i'm bringing my road bike and enduro, so i'll be riding probably everyday there. Last year i did some really serious mountain steep climbs there with my enduro, probably this year i'll be going a bit farther with my roady.

234 miles woow! you can do this. Just plan it out nicely. why not bring your car out and drive the google bike route and see if it's all safe. This way, you'll know what you need(lights backpacks) and what to expect(deadends. crossings) at the day itself. just my opinion.. have good time on your LG trip with the family.

I would have love to do this ride with you but unfortunately I not in the same calibre as you so which means you would have to wait up for me most of the time. Just have a great vacation with your family up there E. You have enough trails/routes up there to keep you happy.......

@rachet that would be nice but i think its going to be a lot of work and $$ going back and fort. I think the best one to go is if they can follow me while i'm riding but that would be impossible. ;D ;D They are going to be bored. GiantMasta yup that's what my kids told me. ;D ;D @rxr i don't think its a problem man, if i'll do this maybe i'll do an ave of 13-15mph ave speed so i'll last longer. Anyway thanks guys but maybe someday we can all do an epic ride MTB or Roady.

it's very easy!
just follow new york bicycles route #9
it's start from NYC (greenway bike path) then x-ing GW from GW it will follow 9w all the way up to BM then it split after x-ing bear mountain bridge.
this route will eventually take you to canadian border.
if you're "seriously" consider doing this i will go with you. but,..i have my own agenda/plan.
basicly..i'm planing to ride on #9--->#11---->#5--->#517---->#17--->back t0 #9 to get back to NYC (those are new york bicycles route number it's using new york state highway system) this is a giant loop, riding the perimeter of new york state.
+/- 1150miles for about 11-14days to complete (100 miles/days) i will travel very light,..using credit card touring style.meaning no camping gear or cooking gear.just a camelback to carrying some essential stuff. so,.it's just my plan so far, dunno when i'm going to do it. best time to do it will be end of august.

Good luck guys if go through with this. I remember when we used to take three breaks to finish a lap in Cunningham
