I said it in Facebook but it bears repeating. I have nothing but the most respect for you MTB guys and the type of racing you do. It is hard and dangerous. While riding today I kept thinking I could die here in one of these rocks. I never seen so many rocks in my life. Like someone gathered all the rocks from blue mountain and place them on the race trail. It was insane!!! Glad you survived your First MTB race. And you're right, a slight mistake can really hurt. You should check out wawayanda, you'll wonder how they gathered those rocks along the trail!LOL. Congrats on the podium finish.

Blue mountain rocks! Congrats to all who did one of the toughest course in the series. You're right tavo, of all the trails in Blue, they picked the course with the most rocks.. Short but very challenging. Also dangerous(there is one accident reported). Really glad that we all survived unharmed. Sorry guys, I forgot to bring the banner. I'll have it ready on the next race.

Good job BigB! If you do the math, granting you and all the cat 1 racers have the same fitness level. But most of these cat 1 racers ride the h2h race courses every weekend if not on weekdays so they know the courses like in the back of their hands. With that said you should be happy b/c for I know this was your second time riding Blue this year. lol ;D Unless we start riding these h2h race courses every weekend, there's not a lot we can do about it, or if those mtbnj and local guys stop training and get fat. I kid, I kid ;D ;D This also goes to cat 2 and cat 3 racers except if you're Jontot b/c I always see on his strava map that he's always training at Blue. ;D Jon!

except if you're Jontot b/c I always see on his strava map that he's always training at Blue. ;D Jon! Lol! I'm an exception! Lia actually showed me how to cross all those water rocky technical sections last Thursday and I still decided to walked all of those sections yesterday while racers just passed me one by one.

BIG Thanks to Sushi for the lift to Blue & CONGRATS to your WIN! Also congrats to coach Ratchet & Tavo!!! to the rest of the racers including ME, who survived BLUE yesterday!!!! That was something - CONGRATS to you too!!!!, it was just a matter of minutes during our pre race ride..I said to myself - I want to go home now! >:(hahahaha here are my times from, Garmin vs. Strava & my posted official time... I think....the time difference are due to all the walking I did. I am not really capable of doing that stuff either wet or dry. I should stay on Cat3 level what yah think of my conclusion...I think, I am right!

I almost believed you were racing on CAT3. Congrats in advancing to CAT2. It is pouring and slippery. Be safe everyone! Raced Cat2 in Wicked'10 & Wicked11, but this time gonna do the same thing with the H2H Race Series. And now I am thinking, maybe I could go back to Cat3.....coz my I felt I am not ready for Cat2. From yesterday race...those guys are fast!!! No excuses!!!!

Yup thanks for the nice pics Sushi and Bigboy! Here is the Cat 2's sweeper Garmin data. Plenty of walking not only on the uphill but also on the techy flats and some techy downhill. connect.garmin.com/activity/170909661
