Question about sram xx crank

I'm planning to buy SRAM xx crank but not the set. My question is, will I be able to use my old bb from xtr and can I use my old shifter set? This is front only! Thank you for the inputs in advance!

my guess is if the SRAM xx uses sram GXP BB, your existing XTR BB will be a few mm smaller... meaning it will not fit. this is based on my encounters with standard SRAM GXP BB against standard shimano outboard bearing BB(SLX, XT, XTR). they are not interchangeable.. only FSA and SHIMANO.

Rachet is correct. The SRAM GXP BB will not fit the Shimi XTR because the left side crank is a few mm smaller. Big B's GXP BB is the way to go.

As far as getting the shifters to work, it is doable. Precise adjustment of the front mech is needed.

1 more question. Which Q factor will fit my frame? Q156, Q166, Q164

I use 156. I would go with the narrow Q factor. I don't remember them (156, 166, 164) having different spindle length. 99% It should fit your frame.

I use 166 on my GF frame for GXP and I think 164mm mostly for BB30s.

E, check with Jerry or Kenny, they would know what fits your frame.
