I decided to go to Ringwood today and hook up with some of the MTBNJ riders. Anyway, we made more stops and chit chat than actually pedal today but it was all good and fun day this morning. There's lots of ice crust on top of some single tracks and fire roads but it was all ridable. Hey Viking I finally got ride with Liong this morning and had a chance to chit chat. I asked him if he also remember Rachet and he actually told me that he was intimidated with Rachet in Blue Mountain when Rachet was all over and kissing his back tire. ;D Anyway, I have this new software that I downloaded on my Iphone and used it as my GPS, it's so cool. I've got to get serious about training to kick Liong's ass next season ;D The only thing I noticed a little bit off was the maximum speed but other than that I'm happy with it. Oh yes one more thing if you going to use it more than 3 hours it drain your Iphone battery. When Liong found out that you and the 2nd place guy rides in Blue Mountain a lot he was like "No wonder they beat me" hehehe. He said that he always beat the 2nd place guy in the previous races couple of years back. |

Hey Viking, I found out in the TrailGuru forum that to able to conserve your Iphone battery you should do the following when using the app: disable the 3G and lower the brightness of your iphone back light. The battery will last at least 4 hours of running time.
About the maximum speed inaccuracy one user suggested to set your trailguru app to record every 10 meters and that should fix the problem.
About comparing to other device, the only stats I compared to was the total miles, it was the same total miles from the Garmin GPS.
So now start using your Trail Guru App and start pedalling cuz Liong has been putting at least 80 miles a week on his training. ;D

It was a nice day today and I happened to be off too so I decided to ride in Ringwood. I haven't been to Ringwood since January 3, 2009 and I really missed it so much. Anyway, just want to share my ride today, I rode mostly all the single track that I know and 10% fireroads and 10% double tracks. My in-law arrives today (7/24/09) and I have a free time to ride my bike hoohooo! I'm still not sure where would I go, I want to ride Blue but not too confident to ride there by myself since I don't know the trail well (too big). So I'm thinking of hitting the other 3 trails that are close by me which are Ringwood, Sprain or Graham. If someone is interested to ride in any one of these park I mentioned call me, I can move my ride to 3PM if not I'll ride at 1PM.  |

AAAHHHH. Better than a morning cup of coffee watching this video. Thanks Jon. Now I'm really pumped up to go riding. Wish I joined at Ringwood yesterday man.
Hey if you go to Ringwood again tomorrow, Adonis sounded like he might want to meet up with you there tomorrow afternoon. Give him a call or I'll give him your number....

I'm gonna have to get back to you on that. If I can, it might probably be Thursday. I might be able to leave my daughter at my M-I-L's house in Queens. But still is 50/50....

Anyway, the trail today was good, there were few icy spots here and there so I spilled twice. I wish I have a stud tires for this kind of trail but all and all my ride today was good. I just hope that Chimney Rock will not be cover of snow tomorrow like today in Ringwood...It was a work out riding on a snow.
