Welcome to the tribe mcsteamy! Hope to ride with you in Cunny or any road trip we'll plan. My word of advice just keep riding your bike and sooner or later you'll be able ride side by side with my biaatch AKAGaryCruz.

McSteamyPorkBun, welcome. Glad you finally joined. This is where I got my bike hitch: www.etrailer.com/c-wmc.htm I got the SportRack 2 bike hitch, same as what StumpMastah has. (first one on top) Also got the lock that goes with it - www.etrailer.com/p-A32022.htm (edited to add) This would be enough to qualify you for free shipping. Gonna put you under the StumpMastah's wings and you will be alright!!! Usap tayo.

rawhide,
brod, i called up your website. wala daw silang trailer hitch available sa mr2 spyder. pagmaganda kasi ang panahon (bike season) ginagarahe na sa longisland yung crv (swap). i live in flushing now, where parking spaces are a fortune.
and my neat freak wife wont always let me borrow "her car" on weekends to stink and dirty up.
i will try the trunk mounted ones, if it will work on my car. m not sure if the engine being in the back would matter. plus no rear windshield, plus the short bumper. bahala na si batman....

McSteamy, Bro
You're right. Who would ever think of having a tow hitch with a car like yours (although I think you have tow hooks.) Not sure if a trunk mount would work, (not only with your car but also with the kind of bike you have) but did you ask etrailer?
Anyway, suggestions from the tribe would be greatly appreciated.

i went to spyderchat.com, custom built lang talaga ang available. i am supposed to use the tow hooks but i have to make my own setup. we'll see. mahina ako sa fabrication. bagsak ako sa shop- class nung high school.
chp is 3.8 miles from me. so its not that bad, i think. might as well be my warm up. and its all thru city parks. i saw a map online from climb or mtb, konting city road, everything else thru the parks. its what they use when the trails are wet. plus with my skill level (non-existent) black diamonds are still far away. i still need to learn how to ride those str pedals!
so dont worry about me. if you guys plan on going anywhere outside of chp, i can bring myself there. (il just use the missus' ride) its the mountain biking part of the trip that im not so sure of..... hehehe. dun ako maiiwanan sigurado.
