the course is around 8.5 miles if beginner is doing the whole loop. Sometimes the exclude a small section to keep the miles down. I will be there to see you cross the finish line. GO BIGBOY!!! Come back to sport soon, we miss you.

Come back to sport soon, we miss you. I think Cat3 will be doing 8.5 miles cuz they exclude the lookout trail (white dot) but all other Category will do 9 miles. And yes Bigboy bring that medal home! Go...Go...Go... BigBoy!!!! ;D

Wawayanda Race Recap! To all Tribesmen, We are happy to say that BigBoy, Viking and I finished the race safe and sound. As for my first ever race as a Cat 2 all I'm gonna say is I need to ride more and train hard as these CAT 2 racers are FAST. Anyway, after minor spill and 2 chain skipped on my first lap and 1 chain skipped and 3 CRAMPS (both legs and left calve) on my second lap I still managed to sucked it up and finished the race. The race course is tough add rain and it's another story. All the short rocky switchback that I made it on my pre-ride I just couldn't clear it yesterday, my back tire was spinning and couldn't get a grip on those wet roots and rocks. Bigboy was lucky enough that his race started and finished without a drop of rain but for Viking and I raced on a wet and sloppy race course. Anyway, they haven't post the result but I'm sure I was the sweeper on my age group. ;D Bigboy here are couple of pictures of you that I saw in the internet: www.fullframepro.com/gallery/8096006_VdRfL#527647451_hCwfgwww.fullframepro.com/gallery/8096006_VdRfL#527647966_LUkgD

It was way tougher in the rain than when we rode the week before in 90 degree heat. I think it was almost as tough as blue last fall. Results are up at www.blackbearcycling.com/wawa09/cat2results.htmlI finished 10th.....gotta train, train and train Jon you had 5 sweepers behind you, you belong in sport. Congrats on your 5th place bigboy!

Jon you had 5 sweepers behind you, you belong in sport. Man I'm shocked I really taught I was last on my age group. When I looked at the result I could probably moved up to 22 if my leg didn't locked half way to the finished line. I was watching those 3 racers just passed me when I was out of my bike in pain trying to stretched my leg for almost 3-4 minutes. Next time.... no more Mr. nice guy especially my AKAGc will be trying to catch me on the next race - Tymor ! ;D

Moe vs Jontot 2009. Can't wait for that one. We won't be able to pre-ride tymor since it's a private park of some sort. It is kind of close to Blue mountain so expect a lot of climbs and a pretty technical race. The pro winner at wayway did three laps in 2hours and 23 minutes . that's crazy!!
