Actually gonna hit CHP Saturday morning and attempt a couple of laps. I also thought that this would be a good year to start riding my bike into work again. Not ready for the races, but I think I want to at least see if I can get to the point where I might be able to contribute (keep in mind that I am an old guy ). You guys think it'll be safe to ride Cunny after all this rain? Don't want to tear it up. I can't believe how much Viking improved, If I remember correctly you guys were talking about how you used to wait for Daniel (viking) on top of every climb. Look now how Viking become d**n fast Horse. ;D DumboNomad I was in CHP last Monday, there were some few pool of mud spots that you can easily go around it, with all this rain I don't think it will get any better. Post the trail condition though after your ride.

Hey Jon, I rode with Stumpmastah yesterday and went to the secret trail though the trail is not in riding condition now. Nobody maintains it and there's just too many poison ivy. I think that come fall/winter it'll be rideable again. We went through Alley Pond and ended up @ training ground and did a few up and down the hill. On the way back we saw P2/Chute Kona and we just rode back altogether back to the parking lot. You're right Jon we just need to ride more often and longer (mileage) for us to impove and i'm sure one day our group will be recognized. ;D

CHP does not drain well and you won't have as much fun will all the mud. It will be sunny on Saturday and it will atleast help dry up the trail a little bit.

I agree, CHP drains extremely poorly. My guess is that it won't be good until Monday or Tuesday with last night's rain.
Stillwell is probably the best option for Saturday, and not too far away if you're time is limited.

Decided to listen to the warnings about Cunningham -- and the one closest to it bailed on the ride. Gonna hit Graham in a few hours. Wheels down at 830am. See ya if you're there. If you get this early enough Viking, and you wana go, give me a ring. Leaving the house at 730am.

Sorry I didn't get to give you the heads up on trail conditions. I got home and life took over. As you can see from the time of my post, it's late and this is actually the first time I've hit the computer. Obviously you know the trails were in good condition. Had a great ride and my knee only hurt a little bit. Will try to keep you guys more updated next time I hit the trails again.
Enjoy you Sunday everyone.

yeah it's not really bad at all for a 53 years old - just next time...we got to unhook that front brakes or remove either 1 of the 2 brake pads for safety. But you said you almost overshoot the road, when we were going down the hill. I think you need a coaster brake...hahaha - JOKE sir!
Nice ride yesterday....all around...dirt & street - Thanks!
