It looks like these guys were getting their second wind back. HaHa. Nice pics though. It was a long day for all but we got through it. Thanks to Jon and Sergio for trying to keep us on the map but this place was just too big. That means we just got to keep on going to this trail.......... It was a perfect training day; humidity, rain, very technical, hills (up/down), and yes, we can't forget about our friends, The Yellow Jackets. Without all of these combined, it wouldn't have been a fulfilling day. Thanks again guys. Great ride.....until next time......

d**n Erwin you really pissed those bees!
For Bigboy and I our day yesterday didn't end when we left the park. Bigboy's car didn't start so he called me back and I returned to the parking lot. We tried to jump his car again but didn't work this time, his alternator was shot. We decided to look around the area and maybe we could find a place where we could buy a new battery so Bigboy could go home. We stopped on every gasoline station but no battery was for sale and when we saw a sign of battery for sale they're closed, oh yeah we forgot it was Sunday so most of car shops we passed by were all closed.
Finally, I suggested to Bigboy to take my battery and I'll take his and we just drive to BJ near my house. While we are doing this I'm starting to breakout because of the two bee stung that I got on my legs. I couldn't concentrate, I was scratching my head, face, arms and legs. I told Bigboy I needed to take benadryl so I bought Benadryl and took two tablets. After an hour my itchiness subsided. So after we switched battery his car finally run. Around 3:15 PM we got to BJ's by the Palisades mall and we switch back battery again. Instead of getting a new battery Bigboy decided to let the mechanic in BJs to recharge his battery. So, I thought everything will be alright, I left bigboy in the shop. I got home around 3:30 PM, took a shower, ate my late lunch and took another Benadryl cuz my legs started to swollen again. After that I was out. I woke up around 5:30 and mt family and I went to church and I didn't realized that I left my phone in my other car. To make the long story short, when I got my phone around 8 at night I saw 4 missed calls from Bigboy and one message; He said his car stop in the middle of the highway and needed help. I called bigboy right away to find out if he got some help. He told me he just got home (8:15 PM) He said, he called a trooper and the highway trooper radioed a tow truck. They towed his car back to BJs car shop. His so lucky that by the time he got to the car shops the shops already closed. He ended up calling his wife to pick him up, left his car here in BJs Palisades mall. So I think while I'm typing this, Bigboy is probably here near my house in Bjs car shops.

Wow! I had no idea. I actually came out of Blue Mt looking like that a few years back and didn't even realize that I had been stung by bees. I thought I was having a random allergic reaction to something. Sorry to hear about the attack Erwin. Also sorry I missed the ride. Not many weekends left for me in August, but I am hoping to join you guys for rides in the fall.
I'll keep an eye on the posts for upcoming rides.
Best to all and safe riding.

On Sunday, I was in 2 car convoy in Palisades from Rockland when I saw a stranded vehicle with a bike. This was around 4 or 5pm and I thought I saw Sergio but not sure. The trooper was already there.

NYC skateboarding pioneer Andy Kessler dies at 48
Thursday, August 13, 2009
(08-13) 08:43 PDT New York (AP) --
Andy Kessler, a skateboarding pioneer and designer of New York City skate parks, has died. He was 48.
Close friend and fellow skateboarder Moose Huerta (whehr-TAH') said Thursday that Kessler had an allergic reaction to a wasp sting in Montauk (MAHN'-tahk), on Long Island. Huerta says Kessler died Monday after suffering a heart attack.
Kessler got his start in the 1970s with a loose-knit group of skateboarders and graffiti artists known as the Soul Artists of Zoo York. They skated all over Manhattan's Upper West Side, where Kessler lived.
In the 1990s, Kessler persuaded the city Parks Department to build a skateboarding center in Riverside Park. He also designed skate parks in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island.
