I'm thinking about going on my first road bike ride this Sunday. Anybody willing to hand hold me (I've never ridden a road bike before)? I could show you the Westbury-Bayville loop. I don't promise that I could finish the 30 mile route (or not get lost for that matter) but I can try.

I wish I can join you this Sunday Rawhide but can't ride anymore on Sunday morning. I myself just starting to ride a road bike so I'm also looking for someone to ride with. If any of you guys craving for some long uphills roads come visit me here and we'll schedule a group road ride from GWB (jersey side) to Bear Mountain via 9 W.

If you guys want to do some road ride on sunday came to the Triangle Ride at 8;00am I'll show you guys around and we could even keep it short less them 30 miles

Jont I know what you mean about crowling those long hills I know the route we had been there many times from GWB to Bear Mountain and back a long and hard ride

Highlander, that will be great. Remember, I have never ridden a road bike before ;D I won't even take delivery of the bike until Friday. We could meet either at the high school parking lot or even my house if you prefer. You set the time. The forecast is no rain on Sunday (unlike Friday and Saturday.)
BigBoy, thanks for the offer. As soon as I get used to riding (and improving my stamina) I would definitely want to join your triangle ride.

Sure, bring your friend. It's a nice loop. Midway point is the park in Bayville by the water. I wanted to order from LBS but they all had 2010 models. I wanted a 2009 to save some money. I always want to do that loop. Is it okay to bring a friend? Did you order from LBS or online? |
