Couple of my co-worker roadies inviting me to do a century ride this coming weekend (11/28 or 11/29) from GWB (NJ side via 9W) to Bear Mountain. The ride is 50 miles each way. I'm not sure if they'll do this ride on a Saturday or Sunday, I'll confirm the date in a couple of days but wheels down most probably 7:30 A.M. and the ride should be done by 2 P.M. Anyone interested to join me let me know and I will give you more details where we will meet.
I think my AKAmydog wants to come but he's not 100%

Thanks for the shout Jon but I too don't have a Road bike. I don't think I'm gonna save up for one either cuz "Mountain Bikers do it in the woods". AKA "full-fledged" mtbr......Ha Ha Ha.... ;D

So we finally we completed this ride in 7 hours maybe 7.5 for my OLD DAWG but all had a good time. I wish some of you who have a road bike should have come with us, it was a perfect day to do a long ride (sunny and not too cold) I will post an 8 minute video clip of our ride soon.

oh size 54 , I hope it's a down sloping top tube , because I don't want you to hit the top tube with your crotch when your standing up during emergency situations , anyways congrat's on the new bike and ride it in the best of health.

Actually I went to few LBS in my area, one was TOGA NYACK and they actually fit me and I'm in between size 52-54. When I was shopping for a cheap road bike I saw a brand new "older" 2007 model Specialized Roubaix size 54 in Dean's bike shop that retail for $1700 for 2010 model and Dean gave it to me for $650 out the door. As far as the ride, I have no complain about it and I have a little over an inch of clearance between the top tube and my volls. ;D
