Alternate bike trail near Cunningham Park

Below is a section of the NYC DOT bicycle map showing a trail on the old Vanderbilt Motor Parkway that connects to Alley Pond Park. This route should be taken when conditions at Cunningham warrant staying off the trail in order to keep the trail in good condition. The beginning of the alternate paved trail is just a short ride from the Cunningham trailhead.

The trail is outlined in green.

It is paved road shared with walkers and joggers. There is an option to go off-road but you share the trails with dog walkers.
