John on my team is putting together a 100-miler for Memorial Day. I'm giving it a shot as I really want to do a 100 mile MTB race this year. This will be a good rehearsal as it's local(westchester and south) with options to get back to the city if I hit the wall or something. I'm sure the pace will be brisk as we're trying to accomplish while the sun is up let me know if you're interested in giving it a try nycmtb.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7013

There is no doubt your goal will be met.
You will have plenty of time to do a century even if you start at 8:00am. Be safe out there on the road.

My body said IN on the road part but my shoulder said NO on all the technical trails in Sprain Ridge, Highbridge, Graham Hills and Blue Mountain. Even if I'm 100% heal, I don't think I will be able to keep up with you guys maybe the the few fast folks here will be interested. Have fun Viking, I guess you are doing this ride on your single speed bike?

Have fun Viking, I guess you are doing this ride on your single speed bike? that's the plan. I'm thinking 32x19 but it's a little tricky...

I don't think I'm ready for a 100 miler on a mountain bike yet.
Have fun Viking!
