I tried to beat the rain yesterday and almost made it. Got a flat making a left from 34th Ave heading towards Manhattan. Front tire had a nasty tiny piece of glass and before I knew it there were liquid sealant all over. Nasty! I didn't have any tools or pump with me. Luckily, I was able to find a bike shop near a subway station. It took awhile for the sealant to work so I ended up taking the subway back. By the time the I got off the subway, tire sealed itself. ;D Some learning curve here for me. similar happened to me, remember I walked all the way back home - lucky you got the subway near you....hehehehe was just thinking....what can you say about that video @ Stan's website about doing some huge nails runs and he didn't even get a flat tire or a leak Subway was 15 blocks away so it took me awhile to get there. About Stan's video, I think that was good advertising. I have sealant all over the place. Do you know how to get that out stuff out of your clothes? ;D

Sorry to hear that Levi on your flat tire. Thanks Jon. Getting a flat happens to the be best of us. I may have to start bringing atleast a pump. CO2 cartridge would have been a waste since it took me several tries for the sealant to work.

Today is not good for me. why, it is rest day today Mr. Levi? So, joining Jon & Moe wasn't possible for me today. For I cannot ride to the city and be back in time....so back to my regular route. Today's different, I decided to do it in reverse and no Throgs - coz I am running late. Original plan was to try CHP and no ways possible with my SS. Bailed out and went straight MTB road riding again....reverse was something, good one!

My ride started cold but after a few miles it felt nice. This was my first ride of 2011 and it was a nice feeling to ride my bike again. Since I have not touch my mike since 12/19/10, I was hurting after an hour of riding my bike. As soon as the adrenalin of riding outside was gone all the pain comes in. I felt a tiny pain on my left knee. Anyway, I rode by myself and visited Moe at his work. All in all it was a fun slow ride, I can't wait to do it again but hopefully with someone as it gets lonely after awhile. here's my ride today. connect.garmin.com/activity/68770415

I think it was a little too much mileage for a person like me who hasn't ride his bike for two months. Now I'm paying for it as I'm suffering with all kinds of pain on my whole body. Thanks for the invite today Levi and Lia but sorry I couldn't make it as I have my youngest daughter every Friday and Monday.

Probably hitting up chp tomorrow to check if it is rideable or not. Temps in the 20's tonight so hopefully it will be hard dirt. If it is not rideable ill be heading to bethpage. I will be at chp at 9am if anyone is interested, medium pace.
