What do you guys think of a CLIMB sponsored race and fundraiser at CHP? I told Jerry(peak bikes) about sponsoring a race at chp and I also mentioned this to one of the climb officers a few years back at chp when they were fixing the trail. I think this is a very good idea Levi, I hope they'll do this once a month or twice at chp or more ;D. This will make a lot of ny mtber's happy. I think Daniel's group nycmtb used to sponsor a race every weekend at highbridge trail. I told Daniel why not do it here in chp? I'm sure there will be a lot of participants. I'll be first in the line for sure. And yes it will be a good fundraiser for the climb as well. This will be a good practice for us for the h2h races. ;D Oh yeah I don't mind paying a registration fee that's good for the climb organization. Imagine a time trial race in chp? Man that sounds really fun! Let's go climb! We are in!

Thanks for the input Erwin. I spoke to Mike V and he said that CLIMB has insurance coverage for this type of event. He likes the idea as well.
What about parking and other facilities?

nycMTB one I think is called summer sprint series at Highbridge. I'm pretty sure it was free and they did it in the summer once a week around 5 or 6pm. I think it was every Thursday or something like that .. it was definitely on a weekday. It kind of fizzled out this past summer .. probably because of Jaime's pending departure to CO, but I remember hearing a lot about it in the past years.

Yeah, I heard about the races at Highbridge Park. It was also at BIKE magazine. Wouldn't it be great to do such a series in CHP? I think so. Just make sure you heard it in here first.

Yes, we know about this and our very own Lia has won the first ever Highbridge sprint series in the female category. And I believe she has been doing this sprint series even this past summer.
