You also made a point that you are not using all your gears now. Probably you can beat your last year's results. It is a race so you never know what will happen. You just might get lucky. Just remember the big bear chasing you. LOL!

Hey guys I am here to report mission completed. I almost didn't make to race due to construction work on gwb I was held up for about an hr just to cross the the gwb lol. Anyway I was surprised to find that course had been changed to favor of more rocks and little bit more of the rocks. It was ok for the fir mile I tried to pass a guy and got lost the control and hit my head hard on a tree heard the cracking but no time for check up I just peadal and pedal. As uphill approached I got intimated by rocks and searching for granny ring which I have at home but surprise to myself I was able to climb the whole section. But When I got to downhill section I was wishing for my giant regin 6 inches of travel would been super nice I was holding onto my handbar so much I almost had cramp on my both hands and to make things worse rider behind yelling and pushing. I'm also in the race what does he want me to pull up to side and make way for him? I was gonna let him pass as soon as I find safe spot for it that's so unprofessional sportsmanship of him. Then find same guy at the hill a.h beside of that guy everything was nice good weather no crash nothing broke and also made good friends. I hung out after the race to find out number I came in. Ha ha I am so happy with the my result 6th out of 16. Much better from last yr when I came in 12th out of 13 lol and no female riders were passing me this time misses you guys for today but I will see you at the bottleride

Actully I was thinking about that, using both of my legs to drive, I felt throbbing on my left thigh and I am like uh oh I am not even in the race yet but I am feeling cramping already, d**n. But never had cramp in the race

Well done Danny! You represented the tribe very well in CATEGORY 2! I like Jungle Habitat because I know the trail and it's just 25 minutes away from my house. Anyway, I will suck if I raced today as I haven't ride either my road or mtb for more that 2 weeks not counting the Chainstretcher that I DNF. I'm not really sure when I will be able to ride my bike to train before the bottleneck race on the 26th and the ringwood race on Oct. 3rd.
Anyway, congrats again on finishing strong today. We will try it again in Ringwood.

Good job Danny! It was a tough course and very few spots to recover. The course was different from the last couple of years and offered some of the rockiest race trails I've ridden.
I finished 9th out of 14 in Cat 1 SS.
