Yo Bigb Gran fondo is coming in the next weekend. I need some pointers on this yo ;D. How does the timed uphill works?
1. They time you as you start climbing, no matter where your position is even if you're not in the first groups or everybody starts at the same time from the bottom of the time hills?
2. Is there a stop for the refills/food? Where and when/miles?
3. Once we get to the top of BM, do we rest or just go around and start riding back? 4.Coming back do they have feeding stations also where? 5. Does everybody have to stop every stations or it's up to the riders?
Sorry for too much questions bro ;Dbut I need your knowledge on this one. I know this is your second GFNY. ;D Thanks!

Ok so to my curiosity on how the timed hills work, I googled it and I got this info from nyvelocity.com/content/interviews/2011/gran-fondo-nyc. This was from the 2011 gran fondo but hopefully they didn't change anything about this rule. Based on that statement, all they really count is the timed hills. So if you're a smart ass, then you can go 10mph ave in between time hills to save a lot of energy and when the time hills comes, you can fly up the hill. Sounds super cool to me. ;D ;D

Yes E you could stop and rest before the climb starts, There its plenty of fully equip rest stops, you chose, you pick them all, some or none, I skipped the first one last year and stop on all the other ones, You could stop at the top of the hill at BM. Any other question or concern lmk.

I will be picking up my goodies on Friday noon if I have time but if not its going to be on Saturday. How about you Big man? Here's my plan, there are 4 timed climbs which is really the "Race" in GFNY. First climb will start on mile 35, second will be mile 42 which is the BM itself, 3rd will be mile 60 and last will be on mile 67. I'm planning of just riding easy from the start and hammer it down when the first time climb comes. In between those time climbs, I will also ride easy, after mile 67 which is the last time climb that's when I will give my little hammer down show. Ok lmao! But like what Mike Tyson said before, everybody has a plan until they get punch in the face. ;D Ok I lol'd

Sounds like a good plan, we are also planning on doing pretty much the same.
