Ladies/Gents, CLIMB is going to sponsor a race. Hint: Time Trials Race. ;D We are currently forming a race committee. We need volunteers. No volunteers. No time trials race in Cunningham Park. Nice Levi! Anyone here would like to step up to the plate and volunteer? Levi could you ask Mike the details of what the guys/gals needed to do if we decided to volunteer as a race committee.

I will post it here as soon as I get more information.
We may need to tone down the word "race" and probably just call it "Time Trials" as far as Land Manager is concerned. Hopefully, we get enough help (volunteers) so we can do more than one or perhaps a "series". ;D

The time trial event will be a simple one. It is going to be 7miles long. Each racer starts at @1min apart.
There are going to be two groups of race committees, East side and West side committee. The East side are already formed. We need to form one for our side (West side). We need time keeper, data entry person, another person to manage the racers at the start and another one at the finish line. We will mark (tape) the race course and probably need one or two person to manage the course and to make sure no one makes shortcuts. So 4-6 people will be sufficient for the West side race committee.

Thanks Big B! I know you are racing and probably not going to be in the race committee. Hi Jon, we applied for the permit to use the Park which will take a minimum of 90 days. So it is going to be late May or early June. I should know more on the next Board Members' meeting this Wednesday, March 2nd.

Right now I would like to volunteer. Hopefully it will not conflict to the race that I'm already signed up for. Or worst, same date as our yearly family summer vacation. But now, count me in. Thanks Levi.

We had our first race committee meeting and we planned to do the first Time Trials Event at CHP. We also have a sponsor but need more volunteers.
WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS. Volunteers tasks such as taping the race course, race marshals and other simple task as writing the racer's name etc. The event will be on Wednesday after work 6-7pm and we will probably finish by 9pm.
