The Bearscat 50 presented by Black Bear Cycling is returning for it's second year in 2012. The race will have a Field Limit of 200 Riders. The Field limit is due to an agreement with the Park and not because we only want 200 riders. If it were up to us we would open it to anyone that is willing to take on the terrain of the park and suffer for the day. No Annual USAC License Required.


Okay Orange Machines who wants to redeem themselves from last year. All I remember was all Orange Machines DNF on this race last year. I will try it again hopefully I can finish it this time. Who's with me? Registration open this morning and 40 something already pre registered. Let's go!!!

I guess just me and SimplyD will do this crazy "ride". "Ride" because Danny and myself plan to do this race just like an EPIC ride. We will stick together from start to finish... that's the plan. Hey Danny you better not hammer at the start coz I don't plan to follow you. ;D lol!

thanks!!! yes it was the hardest race i ever did,, i did some 24hrs races too, but i do a lap and rest go out again, most i did was 70 miless however i've never done riding non stop close to 50 in one shot. i was so hungry i got so dizzy, and when rain came down trail got so dark
had trouble seeing things, i thought i was gonna need a light, then got cold n wet then sun
came out for while then rained over and over.... i can't really say it was great fun not after i got so tire kept losing control over the bike dancing like star under me, maybe if the weather
and trail condition was better then i would say it was a fun one.
