Hey guys, I just want to throw this out there. I have been racing h2h since 2009 and I was hooked but out of the 7 race courses, these are the 3 that I hate the most. 1) Jungle habitat 2) Waway 3) Blue Mountain Before the race starts the organizers always tells you that, this is only for fun and blah blah blah but then they give you the hardest course of the trail. I read about the guy who had an accident at Sundays race on mtbnj site and it was horrible! I think the guys face was obliterated when he hit the rock face first!! Dios mio! You can call it rock garden or what ever but when you go to these three race courses, it's not garden of rocks anymore. DUDE we are talking about PLANTATIONS of ROCKS here!! ;D I think the best course with a combination of rock GARDENS tech sections, uphills and downhills is the Kittitany bulldog race. Is it just me or the 90% of the h2h racers are feelin this way?? ;D ;D

Me & Sushi know him (Percy) personally, last time i heard he sustained 3 broken teeth and one loose one that may be pulled, 8 stitches in lower lip, and a broken left thumb. Other than that, i know he'll be back in the saddle in no time.

I hope he'll heal and recover fast. Hey E, I guess you can't take away those trail that you mentioned. And if only we can have those here in our backyard, we would be able to develop our skills and overcome the fear. Accidents happen.. Even if you're riding on the smoothest part of the trail.. There is always risk in this sports that we are all crazy about.

True, accidents can happen anywhere. Like what happen to you E and GreyZ both of you got hurt in CHP. Before I fully dislocated my shoulder in Waway I already partially dislocated it in CHP... but that was different coz that particular ride had a Prancing Horse's cerveza included. lol! But I hope you get my point. Any sports especially ours has plenty of risk.

Yeah probably if we can only ride those trails every weekend then I don't think I will be ranting about it. But what I only hope is that, the organizers should or must also consider other racers who have no time to practice at this impossible and I quote "impossible plantation of rocks" that you need to ride and I believe I'm not the only one on this ;D. I mean I don't care how good you're at tech sections, if you don't practice those sea of rocks repeatedly, there is no way you can ride it! The only racers who are happy are the ones who get to ride them all the time.
I'm not saying that they should eliminate these 3 race courses but atleast eliminate those superduper hard sections that is impossible to ride if you don't practice it. ;D
True that accidents will happen even at the smoothest trail but the risk of you getting hurt seriously at the plantation of rocks is really way higher. Just sayin guys thats why I don't like racing at these 3 courses especially when we only get to ride it during race day.

Those sections you called plantation of rocks are nature gifts to MTB. I remember when we were building trails in chp, we have to unearth boulders so it cam be part of the "rock garden" that we have in chp. The same thing in ringwood where they have to make a landscape of rocks(skyline? Am I right jon?) My point is, in MTB.. Racing or not.. Trail builders designed those trails for the riders to conquer.. It's our part as bikers to adopt to it. Not the other way around. It's our part to master the skills needed for the sports. This should be our mindset so we can encourage others. I swear, tavo was scared to death... But he was able to do it.. In style.. Plus podium. If our cat3 first time racer did it, you can do it too.

Don't get me wrong Rachet, I was first place in cat3 2 yrs ago at Blue Mountain. And it was also in style b/c i only had a 1 second lead over the second place. Point is WE need to practice those sea of rocks to be able to enjoy it and ride it lol, problem is we don't have time to do it. So I hope the organizers will compromise a little bit and delete the superduper hard sections. That's all, I don't have any problems with the other rock sections there. Well Jungle is a different story though. Lol!

Uupps my bad E. We all know that you are a dedicated MTBer for sure. It was just an analogy of a first time rider against plantation of rocks. If your concern is just us not to get hurt.. Safety.. Then I get what you mean. But still, I want you to go out there and prove to those rocks who's the boss!! LOL So you are not hitting wawayanda? How bout hitting diablo on the opening day and put that enduro to work? We might be able to grow a couple of balls there. LoL.

Balls or no balls Rachet but I'm not risking myself riding over those rock sections without even practicing it repeatedly, I would rather ride/run rock garden/ride it, problem is I'm not enjoying it like that so I would rather pass on those races. Always remember that this is not our career! ;D ;D All we can get for this is bragging rights or like what you said balls. lol But I'm already contented with my two balls that I have, I don't need more than 2. Lol At the end of the day, we still need to go back to work to earn a living for our family and I think that's where I will put my additional balls. If you're comfortable riding those plantation of rocks without practicing it then that's good for you man. I salute you, you are like Allen Iverson who hate practice and will just go play the game right away. Lol ;D ;D
