Hello fellow Open Water swimmers. A few friends of mine and I are doing an open water swim this Saturday at Ild Greenwich beach (in CT). We have to be at the beach by 6 am so we leave by 5 am from Queens (45 min drive). Win planning to swim for noire than an hour and I will be home before 8 am since I have to take care of kids while my wide foes to work. I know there is a memorial ride at CHP this Saturday so if anyone is interested in coming with us to OW I will drive you and your bike to CHP afterwards.

I would like to join you guys but my 2.4 mile swim race is on Sunday and I might not have enough energy when I go all out.

Nice doe! I watched the 2011 world championships(Kona) 2 days ago on nbcsports, that thing is super hardcore!! Swim, bike(112 miles), run(full marathon)!! I gonna need me some dope yo to finish it. ;D ;D But I saw an 81 yr old dude finish it in 16 hrs!! Holy... A woman(teacher 60 y/o) from USA who missed the cut off time by 4 seconds, man I cried that was really sad. Craig Alexander from Australia won it but he was cramping on the last 2 miles and had to stop several times to stretch, good thing he had a good lead. Btw I might join you in that open swim, I'll just bring a life jacket. I want to do this tri one day and punish myself, I got to figure out if I can swim for 2.4 miles without a lifejacket. My boy Lance will be doing it this year I think.
