nice find Serg. If I were to do my 1st, I would do the Blue Mountain on Oct. 5. That will give me more time to train and no more bs riding...lol

I'm now registered in the SS category (2 laps) for Sunday. Figured it was less things that can go wrong with only on gear Any tips from our experienced racers garycruz and jontot would be much appreciated.

Figured it was less things that can go wrong with only on gear Any tips from our experienced racers garycruz and jontot would be much appreciated. Well, my first race was in Ringwood last year and I made a major mistake that caused me my first gold medal as a beginner ;D halfway down the race while I was enjoying a good lead in front of AKA GaryCruz, I got loss and followed the running sign trail instead of the mountain bike race trail so I did two loops instead of one . 1.)So if both of you can go there tomorrow (the day before the race) and ride the race trail and be familiar with the trail it will really help you guys. The marker should be up by tomorrow 2.)If you guys going to eat heavy eat at least 5 hours before the race, Moe and I ate bacon eggs and cheese 1 hour before the race and gave moe a stomach cramps. 3.) Pray for good luck and hopefully you guys don't get a flat tyres.

good luck to the tribesmen who are racing this Sunday. ride hard and ride fast.
one thing I can suggest to you guys is that if you haven't use stan's no tubes yet, you should, especially in a race. it reduces the occurance of flats - pinch or thorns. it happened to me yesterday, where I felt the stan's leaking from my tires. I turned the tire to where the leak was and just shaked it and sealed it right up. if I had tubes, it would've taken longer to fix. i think it's the way to go when racing. go to your LBS and ask them to convert your wheels - a bit pricey, but worth it when racing.
