I think Erwin had the video post processing to a fine art. He turns that thing around like a man on a mission. Having a powerful computer surely helps! Keep up the great work Erwin. It is a good alternative to Jon's video Productions. Believe it or not, it makes for a good training video. ;D Thanks again to Erwin, Jon and to our future video producers. Tina you take great pictures. You will do good with a full-frame DSLR. Erwin has the latest processor, board, memory etc. So far I am happy with a dual core setup. They are much cheaper now too. One example is the EVGA 9800GT. It is so cheap now but they take 2-slots x 2 each. Make sure you have enough space your inside the case if you want to configure both of SLI. Takes up 1-slot each Takes up 2 slots each

You're welcome Levi and thank you. Computer gaming is also one of my addiction or hobby. ;D ;D So I have a decent set up and I build my own computer so the high end computer gaming that sells $10,000 online, I can build it myself for half the price or even more lesser than that. Depends if you got lucky with the computer hardware prices. I can't believe computer makers charge so much for their labor.

I think you hit the nail on the head Erwin. Just to add, this is where PCs edges over Apple computers is hardware customization and gaming. Apple doesn't like you to use non Apple approved hardware like PC. It just won't load. Once people are able to install MacOSx on regular PCs, good buy Apple again (Apple clones back in the 90's). Please don't get me wrong, I like them both Apple computers and PCs. They both have their own advantages and disadvantages. ;D ;D For PCs, if you need more memory, use dual-ranked memory boards.

Nice set up Levi! Are you still running ddr2 memories and how many gigs are that? That sure helps a lot with video editing though. Here's my set up. Intel i7 965 extreme quad core CPU overclocked at 4 gigs Asus rampage 2 extreme motherboard Corsair dominator ddr3 memory 1866 MHz @ 4 gigz Evga gtx 295 @ quad core graphics video cards 2 velociraptor @10,000 rpm hard drive running in raid zero 2 velociraptor @10,000 rpm hard drive running in raid one 1200 watts power supply 30 inch Dell monitor @ 1920x2560 resulotion With these set up I can edit videos in a snap, play games online like call of duty black ops and kick butts and last but not the least play the games with life like stunning graphics quality. ;D ;D Here's some pics to drool. ;D ;D Lol! The cool thing is I build my kids their computers too. Hehe This was my 2nd build comp and gave it to my daughter, the one I had was my third. Unfortunately my son doesn't like computers so my first build end up in the closet. Hehe

Nice setup! That is one great gaming computer that is fur shur. That computer (pictured above) is an old DDR2 8Gbx2 in dual-ranked config. Processor was dual Xenon 3.0Ghz with 2 more available slots. My budget is not enough. I am still running SCSI-Ultra320 Adaptec controller and SCSI-U320 HDDs 15K RPM. Kind of an old school. LOL! My MacbookPro is much quieter so I use that more often.

I built this for my son. It is so noisy. I am getting a new case with 80mm fans when this computer dies. I have other priorities. ;D

LOL. I totally derailed this thread. Fast computer = fast video production. Very impressive machines guys. Now I know who to bother when it's time for me to upgrade my PC. Very informative. thanks for sharing and making me drool again. About derailing this thread. Either I or Cinco2 will make another thread/board for "other sports/hobbies and interest." maybe tonight and move this post there. You can post your awesome expensive DSLR camera too IceeTee on the new section that I will add. Thanks.

@icee tee thank you, yup i had it for more than a year now. I also like photography but for now biking first. You saw it in my facebook? ;D
@ Levi, we have the same graphics cards in my second build. The gtx 295 is a dual core graphics card, if you put two it will make it quad sli set up.

My son wants an Alienware computer for X-mas. They are owned by Dell. Maybe it's just me but their desktop case looks like an alien. ELYEN! LOL! You can just update his old desktop. Buy him a new case, hundreds of selections now a days that looks sicker than alienware designs. Try compusa, frys and newegg they are one of the best stores online. You can also update his hardwares if you want with the new case and save a lot of $$$$$$$ than buying an alienware desktop. Imho
