TICK-TOCK Just a few days out from the 2010's Six Hours of Cathedral Pines! We've received a few emails regarding directions to the Suffolk County Park's Cathderal Pines. Click HERE to access the location on Google Maps or visit www.somethingwickedevents.com and click the Cathedral Pines link on the right-hand side of the site. We're all set to go and look forward to delivering another sick and twisted day. Last minute tweaks to the trail have been made. SPECTATOR PARKING Please ask any friends/family that may come to watch to park in the lower (sand lot) and walk up to the pit/race area. This lot is located on the left hand side, shortly after entering the park. Racer safety is paramount and we do not want motor vehicles entering/exiting the pit area during the race. RACER SIGN-IN Racer sign-in will begin at 7am and end at 8am. If you get there early and the registration table is set up, walk on over and sign in! Racer meeting at 8:30am Race starts at 9am. PARKING When you arrive, it is important that you follow our parking requests. Parking volunteers will guide your vehicle to your designated station. This will be your "pit" for the duration of the race. After the race, when you leave, we kindly ask that you DO NOT drive across the grass field. The land manager has graciously granted our request to use this area, but we cannot have motor vehicles tearing up the field. We'll explain it to you while you're being parked. RVs, TRAILERS, AND POP-UPS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE RACE FIELD/RACE AREA AND WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER. Looking forward to all the pain you are sure to endure. Hell Awaits.......... Thanks in advance for your cooperation. --sWe

Jon the email said we can use our cars as pit stops. Does this mean we can park it were we put our canopy last year?

Yes we can park our car in front of our canopies. That's what bigboy did last year. So it's better for all of us to get there at the same time and be there before the registrations begins at 7AM. If we can all be there by 6:30-6:45 AM we could probably get a good spot together.

Very good idea by the organizers! Two thumbs up! Now I can bring boxes of pizza and coffee. ;D ;D

Just wanna wish an early congratulations to all who will be participating in this grueling event. By signing up to do this race alone is a feat and an achievement in itself. My heart is going out to you guys for a safe and fun ride. Hoping to log in more and more miles a week since the birth of our 2nd child 2 months ago.
Hey Jon. I know what you're going through man. Fortunately, I had lost almost 10 pounds from the birth of our 2nd child. All the long sleepless nights, back-and-forth to the hospital and working as well didn't give us a lot of time to do anything, let alone, to eat, if you know what I mean. I have finally been logging in some miles at Stillwell since the birth of our child 2 months ago. Feels great to finally get on the trail!!!! Hope to see you there as well man. Let me know when you want to get out and ride........ Should be meeting SSG at Hartshorne next weekend with Adonis probably. LMK.........
