Good racing guys! Team Cadre did a great job organizing the race! Special thanks to Sergio, Rob and Jon for putting up the tent/banner. I arrived at the race site at @7:15am and they already have everything up! Needless to say, I had a great time yesterday. No massive cramping but lots of pain for just pedaling and sitting on the bike for 6hrs non-stop. Nevertheless, It was great hanging out with my fellow mtbNYCstyle racers and CLIMB friends. Hey Jon, I sent Tina the link to our thread. Until next time! I found this shot in Climb! photo taken by Tina Silverio...thanks Tina!

@ Erwin good team work men You were hammering all the time, we should have stick together for at least 3 or 4 laps maybe and work alternates in pacing. We could have save a lot of energy and for me avoided cramps at the end. What we did was raced each other and wasted a lot of energy. Hehe Next year fast cats should stick and work together for couple of laps and then decide from there if who is still feeling good, we could have placed better overall or maybe 1 of us will at least podium like chute he got very closed 6 place or Rob if he doesn't quit. ;D Let's plan it and work together next year man, it's our only way to beat other fast people. i saw mtbnj people and other teams pacing each other. Seriously man i was really feeling good no bonk at all, except that i cramped bigtime!

The time to experiment with new foods/mixtures is not at the race, but during training rides. I probably should have mentioned this before ;D

Cathedral Pines was truly a nice flowing single-track. It is so smooth, you can almost ride your road bike inside. Well, I actually saw one cyclo-crosser who is nice enough to pull to the right. Jon: I thought you were following me after stopping for Moe. What happened to you Jon?!? I don't think your bike is ready to race that day because you keep stopping for the bottom bracket. Erwin: I agree with you about pacing each other because you can push and pull. It is also fun to follow someone you knew knowing their riding style. Likewise, it is less stressful knowing who is on your back. I also learned in this race that it is harder to pass two or three people on such a tight single track without butting heads. Finally, having a pot at stake, I don't think bb will let you pass him that easy. ;D Sayonara! Learn and live to come back a better racer.
