KVSP is one of the few trails I haven't been to in NJ. Word on the street is that it has less hills than LM, but more rocks. There is supposed to be a long climb there on Western side of Goodale road, but it's not part of the race course in the past.

I did this race two years ago(only time I rode there) and it was flatter than LM and a little more technical, but not close to Blue Mountain or wawayanda for example. As far as I know the race never crosses the road because of traffic issues so don't worry about any sustained climbing.
In for this one as well. Keep up the training guys!

Hey jusluv2bike, first of all welcome to mtbnycstyle. Most of the guys are going to register in cat 3. Jontot, Moe, Rachet and freearrow are in cat 2. I would suggest you start from cat 3 which is a biggener cat and build up yourself from there. You'll have fun for sure, cat 3 is not an easy business. :-) Good luck and see you at the race. And btw any indivual can register and race.

Hey guys I'm just wondering if we are pre riding kittatiny and when? Moe and I are thinking of going to KV tomorrow 7/5/10 very early to avoid the heat wave. I'm thinking of leaving my house at 6 AM to be in Kittatiny Valley at 7AM. I hope we find someone over there who knows the race course but if not we will bring the map and hopefully moe and I will remember the trail as we both race this one last year. If you guys interested to join us on our super early ride tomorrow just post it and let us know.
