The XC race is on July 10 Sunday but this event starts on Thursday. My family and I might go there either Friday night or Saturday morning hopefully we can find a place to stay. My kids enjoyed this event last year so now my 7 year old daughter wants to join the kids race this year. If some of the Orange machines plan to race the XC I might join too just for fun even if I don't finish as I heard there are lots of monster climb on their race course. She tried the easy trail in CHP the other day and on a small dh she shoot over the trail to the trees.  I blame it on me for buying her a cheap bike, the brake is very hard for her to pull it.  Anyway, I wish you and your family can make this one, your kids will love the world cup as my kids enjoyed it last year.  |

@jt, Yes. I'm planning to make it a family event and stay over night, lets try to get room at the same place So far I've call most of the hotel in the area and all of them are booked for that weekend except for one the Point Lookout. It's a little far (6 miles from the mountain) As of now, they have 7 rooms available but she rather rent it out for 2 nights. If we would only rent for 1 night we have to call again tomorrow. LMK, there are two different price one is $120 per night and the other one is $100 per night. This place does NOT have a pool. pointlookoutinn.com/about.html |

I also called the owner of this house four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms only 6 minutes away from the mountain. He will call me back if the house is still available and tell me the rates for the weekend. On the website it is $1000 for the weekend so if we could get a 4 families the cost will probably $250 per family for the weekend. Check it out. www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p385951 |

IF both you Jon & BigB will take your families, then half the cost is the problem. Why not, we go per person now and just decide who share on each bedroom or IF we get more Orange riders coming - then they can sleep anywhere in the house or share the room. And also it will be less $$$ for you to share with the bill. Only thing, maybe we get into trouble with the owner doing that ;D Also, I don't know - IF that will be fine with your families.....coz it's gonna be LOUD! ;D ;D  |
